Del Monte Foods is seeking applications for Equipment Operator employment at their Rochelle, Illinois facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position holds equal responsibility as a label line equipment operator / checker II in both the Label Line Department and in the Distribution Department
Primary responsibility will be to relieve the label line operators and when not on break relief, duties as assigned in both the Label Line Department and in the Distribution Department
As a Label Line Equipment Operator (LLEO), this employee will safely operate the palletizer, label, depalletizer and casing machines while ensuring accuracy of all reports and paperwork related to the job duties
Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards

Qualifications

Education (Preferred Level): High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
Must have basic proficiency in reading, writing, math, and computer skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to work in a quick paced environment, while working well with others and promoting a positive attitude
Must be able to climb stairs, stand, stoop, walk, occasionally to frequently
Must be able to wear protective equipment- Safety steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest
