Del Monte Foods is seeking applications for Equipment Operator employment at their Rochelle, Illinois facility.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • This position holds equal responsibility as a label line equipment operator / checker II in both the Label Line Department and in the Distribution Department
  • Primary responsibility will be to relieve the label line operators and when not on break relief, duties as assigned in both the Label Line Department and in the Distribution Department
  • As a Label Line Equipment Operator (LLEO), this employee will safely operate the palletizer, label, depalletizer and casing machines while ensuring accuracy of all reports and paperwork related to the job duties
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
  • Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards

Qualifications
  • Education (Preferred Level): High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
  • Must have basic proficiency in reading, writing, math, and computer skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a quick paced environment, while working well with others and promoting a positive attitude
  • Must be able to climb stairs, stand, stoop, walk, occasionally to frequently
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment- Safety steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest
