Warehouse Crewleader

Plover, WI - $28.70-$31.70 / Hr

The Crew Leader maintains, adjusts, and operates various pieces of labeling and production equipment. Crew Leaders trouble-shoot and repair equipment failures. Crew Leaders train and oversee employees in order to ensure production, quality, and safety goals are met. Crew Leaders develop procedures in support of training and production operations. In addition, this position works with other plant personnel in a team environment and complies with company policy, regulatory and company standards.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely perform a variety of skilled maintenance work and troubleshooting to maintain the various labeling and production equipment to ensure production levels are met.
  • Train and lead seasonal employees.
  • Ensures compliance with all approved and applicable safety rules in the employee's area of responsibility.
  • Supports and facilitates the implementation of the facility's Continuous Improvement (C.I.) initiatives.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of working area and production zones.
  • Coordinate the review of records for the warehouse.
  • Ability to work together with employees within your department and within other departments.
  • Assist on projects or work in different departments as needed or requested by your supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime to provide a safe work environment.

Qualifications
  • Post high school mechanical training or its equivalent is preferred.
  • 1-3 years preferred
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Capability of working with a large variety of tools.
  • Good oral and written communication and math skills are required.
  • Welding and torch cutting preferred.
  • Computer experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electricity and hydraulics preferred.
  • Work cooperatively with co-workers.
  • Capable of occasionally lifting and carrying various items that may weigh up to 75 pounds.
  • The ability to walk or maneuver around uneven floor surfaces and go up/down stairs.
  • Capability of working on machinery in a variety of adverse positions including crawling, squatting, kneeling, etc.
  • Good attendance required.
  • Ability to work all shifts and overtime.
  • Must become forklift certified.
  • Maintain accurate, neat and legible records.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently without close supervision.
  • Must provide own tools to perform assigned duties.
  • Follow all local and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Twist (wrist); Bend/Twist/Pivot; Reach.
  • Ability to Sit/Drive.
  • Work at shoulder and waist levels.
  • Ability to Enter/Exit power equipment.
