Our Plover production plant in Wisconsin is hiring seasonal employees to work from June through early October, with continuing work available through December. Starting pay is based on position and overtime is available after 40 hours. Hours can vary from 10 to 12 hours per shift; 6 days a week.


Del Monte Foods in Plover is looking to hire seasonal forklift drivers. The Forklift Driver, under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, is responsible for safely operating forklift to move, load, and unload products, maintain accurate inventory records, adhere to all safety policies and protocols.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate forklift to remove full pallets of product from production lines
  • Assist shipping department which can entail scanning, staging of finished product or cans for loading
  • Supply production/label lines with supplies needed to keep production going
  • Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work area
  • Fill out a daily check list for forklift at the beginning of shift, each day, in addition to bailing cardboard and plastic, as needed
  • Always be sure pallets are tagged before removing from lines
  • Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements
  • Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments in accordance with established productivity standards
  • Must be able to stand/sit for up to 8+ hours/shift, and able to bend, lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions
  • Must follow all safety and working rules
  • Must be able to work any shift

Qualifications
  • Must be certified and qualified to operate a forklift
  • Ability to safely maintain a work pace appropriate to given workload
  • Able to work cooperatively with other co-workers
  • Must be able to lift propane tank weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Able to understand and follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to climb up on/off forklift and turn body to drive in reverse when needed
  • Must know and follow all forklift safety policies
Education and/or Experience
  • Has demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of warehouse experience in shipping or receiving
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze and understand written and/or verbal instructions
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit for 8+ hours/shift
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to bend/stoop/squat/twist, kneel and turn throughout the workday, for varying lengths of time
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms below shoulder level to above shoulder level
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
